Hi. I'm Shane Colby, the artist behind these paintings.
I have been painting for as long as I can remember. I mostly enjoy painting landscapes from places that I have visited or want to visit.
I'm from Boston, raised by a pilot and a stay at home mom. I'm the oldest of 4 boys. I love history, travel and art. My favorite artist is Claude Monet but I am also a big fan of all the great masters.
I married my high school sweetheart, Claudia, and we have 3 children; Amelia, Scott, and Tucker. We live in the foothills of the Virginia mountains where our kids can play in the forest and my wife can adopt every stray animal she finds. We have a great life on a little farm that we are fixing up. I am the luckiest man in the world. My family is everything to me and I really appreciate everyone who supports my art because you help me to support my family.
